Teachers encouraged to flip their classroom for oral Irish

IrishHomework.ie is an online platform allowing teachers to flip their classroom for oral Irish. Gael Linn are delighted to support this new approach to learning Irish. Students learn short dialogues at home on their preferred device. The following day, the teacher facilitates role play or other task-based target language activities getting students to use their newly learned Irish in a lively group context. Lesson content is relevant to students everyday life at home, in school and at play. IrishHomework.ie incorporates several simple and engaging tools to encourage regular study and revision.

The primary objective of IrishHomework.ie is to build on momentum and motivation in a sustainable way. IrishHomework.ie teachers report great improvement in student motivation and realisation of the primary purpose of learning Irish which is "for communication".
